Here’s a teaser Atikin (Nikita’s dude line) has a hand in. Atikin rider, Gulli Gundmundsson and friends Halldor and Eiki Helgason do some spinning, and some sliding, and some sweet moves here and there. Check it out:
I got to work work today and dove head first into my Outlook, per usual, but today there was a link from the family in Iceland saying, ‘check it out’

Earthquake!? Woah.
So we all know that the English love their tea time. Well, I can’t deny that I like tea time myself. What makes the UK different? They name an event after their favorite time of day. The Gnar Chicken & Tea Snowboard Event is coming to the Tamworth Snowdome on May 31st.
Here’s a little info about the event from Michelle who is one of the lovely Nikita Euros. We heart us our Euro babes!
“Gnar Chicken was created from a love of snowboarding and a unified vision of the future of women’s snowboarding. This year’s event will celebrate the progression of women’s snowboarding, be a great chance to spot new talent within the UK by uniting up-and-coming riders with those more familiar on the scene in a fun slopestyle event. The slope layout is set (see attached) and Nikita have provided some amazing prizes which will be distrubuted for everyone at every level to win….“not just for those that ride the best all the time. It is after all about progression!” - Alexa Hohenberg (organiser)
The Time Table for the Night Is:
7.00pm - Meet at the bar
8.00pm - Drinks in the Bar and the Premier of ‘Freezing Level’: a movie about the environment and snowboarding by Euan Southcott. Filmed in Folgefonna Norway, Scotland, 2alps and many more shrinking snow locations.

Now that sounds like it’s gonna be hard to wake up the next morning… So if you’re in England on the 31st go check it out!

Memorial Day in Florida was a little warmer than here in San Francisco - judging by the bikini clad Danielle. Here she is at the Memorial Day expression session at the pier. Hot, sunny and babelicious!

Gas is about 4 bucks here and there. Here in SF it’s upwards of 5. Ugh. Kristie Giles sent in some shots of her sweet new yellow Schwinn she recently got on the road.

So summer is brining biking to Kristie but she’s still playing around in the snow left in SLC.
“Snowbird is only open on the weekends now, and the weather has been crazy. It snowed all week, and I went up expecting it to be super heavy, but we traversed out to a part of the mountain that had been closed for the past month and found some stashes where we could still get faceshots.”
No more parks are open in the area so Kristie’s been building her own jumps. Here’s a step-up she’s working on…uuummmm…yeah…in short shorts. Boys, no drooling.

In 70 degree weather the last thing you can think about is snow…but sometimes it happens. And sometimes it can be the best snowboarding slushiness ever.

Here is one of the gals I met recently at the Nikita photoshoot in Tahoe. She’s awesome. One of our new gals to the team and she is so great.
Here she is in action at Copper. She placed third in Boarder X and has recently been added to the PacSun team.

This is what happens at dry-land training… mud

And this is the BF, Mac. Mac plays football.

So if you’re around Mt. Hood at all this summer you may bump into Alice. She’ll be kickin’ it at Windell’s.
Headed to Hood she left Reno - with or without the stick

This beast on the side of the road is on the way from Reno to Hood. Perhaps you’ve seen it? That road is traveled hard by snow lovers.

This is Mt. Hood finally getting out of the clouds.
