Meet the Office GirlsPosted on June 9th, 2008 by kelly@nikita | |
So I’ve decided that you all should meet the girls at the office. We pretty much have a bachelorette party going on most days of the week but still have Nikita USA on lock-down. The only dudes around are the mail guy and our awesome UPS guy, John, who really likes going to the tracks on Fridays. We may have to go join him one of these nights even though Big Brown has been taken out of Triple Crown history.
Here are Ella and Jessica. Ella just returned to Germany after being here for a month. It was a sad, sad departure but we’re crossing our fingers that she’ll be home soon.
Ella really likes listening to the Hoff. Most Germans do I guess. Who knew…
She also really likes M.I.A. There were times after work where she and i were the only two in the office and we just hhhhaaaadddd to play this song too loud just to get the last of our work done. Phew…better than caffeine sometimes.
Jess really likes this song and plays it real loud with her big a** headphones on so it makes it hard to talk to her. It’s awesome.
She also really likes this one by Fergie:
Amabile is the Sales gal in house but she’s been outta town for way too long. Here she is looking really confused over what to do with this UPS document. Leave it to logistics to confuse the hell out of anyone.
She’s also really good at lookin’ gangster. She’s not in the office so I’m gonna pick her songs for her.
Considering her computer has a sticker on it that says, “rider your bike. listen to slayer” or something like that on it, Slayer is gonna be one of them. She and I also went to see some good shows a few months ago along the same lines…The Saviors and High on Fire were amazing.
She also gets kinda emo and listens to this stuff:
Jennifer is a mamma of two beautiful boys and plays mad basketball. She just danced for the Carnival Parade a few weeks ago where there were more in-public-day-drunk-people than I’ve seen since being by the river duringPortland summers.
She’s usually bumpin’ the reggae or the hip hop in the office while dealing with all the customer service needs.
Oh and the camo…they were laying around the office and we all ended up wearing them because the office got SO cold one day. Girls in camo. Umm yeah.
Jen is also in the office, but not as much these days because she has a sweet baby boy to look after. I recently was the lucky gal to feed Pierre applesauce on the way to drop off Ella at the airport. He made the funniest ’sour’ look on his face. Babies are pretty rad.
Jen’s fave’s are these two:
Ok, my turn. We recently received a Redwood sappling. Ella and I planted it in one of our planters even though it may have been received beyond saving. Here’s hoping for our baby redwood.
I’m working on the marketing side of things these days and often find myself tuned into these:
Just saw the Black Angels on Saturday at the Independent. So good.
But I’m not gonna lie. There’s sometimes some of this:
There, that’s part of the US family.
